Looking to pick up my first rod for some tuna jigging up to like 100lbs, only up to 100 because i feel my reel is not rated for anything bigger. i would like to stay 250 bucks or less.

This will be a spinning set up.. I picked up a daiwa saltist 6500 and spooled it with 65lb braid.

if possible i would also like to use it for live lining bunker under the pods for sharks if possible.

would this set up be ok for a beginner offshore spinning set up? for other fish as well, sailfish, mahi etc.

thanks guys!

down the line i could spend more money on bigger set ups just right now it isnt in the cards.

I have a Star Plasma jigging rod for sale that works well within your budget. Fir the money it's hard to beat. A good parabolic action, SIC guides, etc
