thanks. i had a 9.5#er from fork the day before, but she was put right back because of the TPWD regulations.
Ronnie, That doesn't work well for amberjack bait, as soon as you put them in salt water they die! Congratulations on a nice fish.

I actually saw a guy on the Panama City Beach pier use an 8.5lb largemouth for shark bait once. (And we would gladly give bonito away by the dozen back then...)
those are some interesting lures you were using nice bass!!! wish I lived near the coast, and I wouldnt have to waste time bass fishing LOL!!!

those are some interesting lures you were using nice bass!!! wish I lived near the coast, and I wouldnt have to waste time bass fishing LOL!!! Thanks Skeeter. Thats just the muskie lures I like to use on grey weather days. Its fun to see them slam topwater lures...especially when they are 2oz Lelure Creepers or 9" Believer lures. Like most others, LMB were the introduction to fishing for me. I still hunt them even though the offshore bite is hot.
got another pig last night. caught an 8.91 on a dropshot setup, with 8# test fluorocarbon and a medium action spinning rod. had to pull her from out behind a pole and into the main lake before I could start fighting her to the surface. Will have some videos later in the week Ray Hubbard is not known for large fish, so this has been quite an accomplishment for me
those big bass are kinda lethargic... I just had to ease her away from the structure and out into the open. she jumped twice.
