Diawa boat braid VS Diawa samurai braid

    Can anyone that has fished both of them tell me what the difference is?

    Diawa boat braid is a beast of a line dont know about samurai but teh boat braid is tough as nails

    Well I haven't fished with them both but one of the obvious differences is that Samurai is green and Boat Braid has depth markers.

    Its the same line, same diameter. Boat braid is color coated and stiffer, samuri isn't and it softer.

    Thanks! Any idea how much 70lb will fit on a saragosa 18000?

    A TON... ~550yds.

    Might want to go up to PE6 or PE8. PE8 should still be ~300yds.

    I just put 275 yds of 70lb samurai on a saragosa 8000....not sure if that helps

    I used the boat braid on several reels last season with no issues, tried the samuri and dumped it after 2 trips. I had a very hard time tying knots, everything slipped.POS if you ask me. I use the surf on my insfore stuff with no complaints either.
