Here is the site: Deep Sea Roundup The tournament is for bay or offshore. There is a junior division and senior division with trophies for each species. There are also fish pots for most species. Piggy perch contest each morning for the young ones. Dinner each evening with open bar. Originally it was the Tarpon Rodeo but became the Roundup when the tarpon disappeared. The Port Aransas Boatmen sponsor it and this is the 73rd annual. All proceeds go to scholarships for Port A students and community projects. I work in it each year or I'd be going on the Big E that weekend.

Thanks Nate... I was looking for that last night and couldn't find it.
Thanks for posting that up....

The roundup is my favorite fishing tournament.. For the price of admission, you get 3 meals and an open bar.. you get to meet lots of great folks.. oh and you get to fish for two days too..

here is the platter that Snagged won last year for the biggest jetty tuna *jack crevalle"

For a while last year Snagged was wearing it like a wrestler wears a big title belt!! I've got the picture somewhere!

I hope you all win another class again this year!

Since I have made a promise to some folks I will fish the Roundup if something happens that I can get it done on my boat in time. As of now there is little likelihood that will happen though.

I've been attending the weigh-in and buying the hats and t-shirts for many, many years but have never attended any of the functions. If I do the 76 hour trip, this year will be the first time I've missed the weigh-in in a long time.

Good luck to all entrants.
I would like to fish the roundup again this year....so if anyone needs an extra crew, let me know
