Dear all;

I fish in New calédonia, and love catch big GT.
In order to preserve them, i use barbeless trebbles on popper and stickbaits.
I ve noticed that many anglers replace trebbles by big (short assit) simple hooks (tail and belly) on stickbaits only.

I've bought a couple of Shout Kudako in 8 and 9/0 for that, but they got barbes.
My question is : should i remove the barbe and what is the best way to do it :
Dremel or Pliers ?

Thanks for your answers

Best regards

Those kudakos great hooks! If you’re trying to do the least amount of damage to the fish for release then yes remove the barb. Like the others said a good pliers should do fine.
