and I thought catfish noodling was nuts.......I'd at least wear some thick gloves just for the false sense of security.

Man I do catfish noodling too.. Gloves what are you Micheal Jackson?LOL,, JKD gloves fill with sand real quick and feel is everything with crabs, bare handed is alot safer believe it or not.

Surfside jetty always has some nice ones near the beach. I would rather have a couple of those pinchers, than a whole pick-up of blue crab

I like those bule crabs sometimes, but these are easier to get..

I'm confused, why don't you eat the whole crab?

State law the grow another claw renewable resource.. Claw has to be 2 1/2 inches long from tip to 1st nuckle.. He grows another claw in about 5 months big enough to eat..

I heard about that this Christmas down in florida......pull a claw, throw them back, pull a claw throw them back......now THAT is a renewable fishery. To bad you can do that with Tuna.

I just looked at the video....I've seen catfish noodling, but I don;t think I'd stick my hand down a hole where there's a claw like that on the other end ready to fight back. Those shells are HARD! Take your dang finger off.
