Ive been building rods for a long time, but am new to the gaff thing. How do these look with Turkshead knots?
Here is the latest from the rod room. I told you guys that I am Ate up with Abalone, yes, there are inlays on this gaff also!!!

I am just playing around with this gaff, but the ones that will be for primetime are stainless hook and shank, Seeker gaff shaft and abalone inlays

I like the knot on the ends.

The ones I've built with EVA grips can slip so I then
add tag line for wrist which is more cumbersome to use.

I like building gaffs more than building rods.

Nice job.

WOW, please be careful with that tag line! I was going to do that but if the gaffer hits a green monster tuna, and gets pulled, the gaffer is dead for shore! I would caution against doing that! At that point, you are tied to a volkswagon!!!

10-4 on the tag lines and Green fish, The gaffs that I've built and given to friends that lost them.... requested a tag line, These gaffs were DoDo, Hoo
Grouper, BFT suited gaffs with 2 to 3 inch gap. Big fish different deal for sure. Still like your grip idea.
