why haven't you replied to my jig/stinger hook question on tackle forum? I need all the help I can get. Only tuna I've caught were in Hawaii by accident, trolling for marlin.
Put me down for a 103 pounder. Caught 11/11/06. I have plenty of witnesses to verify. I don't think the 103 will last long. those guys leaving this weekend should catch some in the 150 range. I hope to get out one more time before the end of the year.
the 103 may be safe. the last time we spent 4 days offshore the biggest tuna were under 100lbs. however this time we will have some of that ocean tackle international tackle that should make all the difference. ...i hope....rick
Just for your information.

That Mrbill has drank enough whiskey in his life to fill up a tractor trailer. I think that might be the reason he is built like an old oak barrel. You are what you eat. That tuna didn't have a chance against that stout old tree trunk.
One of his best moments was when he gaffed an unhooked ling at the boat. I saw him try feeding this 6 foot ling everything in the boat but he wouldn't take a hook. It was driving him nuts. He finally teased the ling to the boat with parts of a sandwich. When the ling got within gaffing range, he stuck it. All hell broke loose.
Water was flying everywhere. He was half way out the boat numerous times but those giant legs wouldn't go overboard. I was laughing so hard I couldn't help. I thought the tail of that huge ling was going to put a hole in the side of the boat. He wanted that fish real bad. He and everybody on the boat got drenched in a saltwater bath for about ten minutes.
He finally pinned the head of the ling to the gunnel and was yelling for a billy club. I wouldn't give him one because I was having such a good time watching the show. He finally started hitting the ling in the head with those bear paws he calls hands. The ling finally gave up after about a dozen blows to the head. That was about 15 years ago, and I still hear from time to time about how he kicked that ling's arse.

If that isn't the pot calling the kettle black. Your not exactly a string bean. I bet you've had a box car of Scotch go through your liver. Now don't go telling stories about me. I could write a book about you. I did kick that Ling's Arse.
