What's the status of the Big E trip this weekend? I'm scheduled on the Scat Cat this weekend and we are on the verge of making a decision on going or postponing. I know the Big E is a little further north but not sure if that is going to make a difference.

They are going, they have room, and some donated Big fish cash prizes.

The Scat Cat sounds like it will sail one way or another.

this is the current forecast, I don't think it bothers a boat
as big and heavy like the Big E.

CHANCE OF SHOWERS IN THE MORNING.

    SATURDAY
NORTHEAST WINDS 20 TO 25 KNOTS. SEAS 6 TO 9 FEET.

    SATURDAY NIGHT
NORTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS 6 TO 9 FEET.

    SUNDAY
NORTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 20 KNOTS. SEAS 5 TO 7 FEET.

    SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY
EAST WINDS 10 TO 15 KNOTS. SEAS 3 TO 4 FEET.

I dont mean to be a pundit but, that fcst is for nearshore waters, where your headed will be considerably worse. buckle up and hang on, Ive been on the big e in this kind of fcst, Its fishable but I wouldnt call it comfortable!

We postponed the scat cat departure till Sunday to try and avoid some of the weather

catch a big'un and make sure you post a report when you get back!!

here's the fcst for the floaters
    Tonight And Fri
W of front N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 5 to 7 ft. E of front S to SW winds 10 kt. Seas 1 to 2 ft. Scattered tstms along the front.
    Fri Night And Sat
N to NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 8 to 12 ft.
    Sun
W of 95w NE winds 15 kt. Seas 7 to 9 ft in NE swell. E of 85w NE winds 20 to 25 kt. Seas 8 to 11 ft.

itll be a pain in the ass but on a big heavy boat like the big e its doable.

    galveston1602,

no problem. the forecast I posted was for 20-60 nm , I've
also been tracking the waves model and it looks rough for friday night and 3/4 of saturday, calming late sat and on sunday

I know rough ain't fun, but I've caught some good fish when
it's rough rock and roll. I went to my boat storage and
grab my safety harness and Wichard safety tether.
I plan on strapping myself to the rail when it starts to
    roll :)

Which Buoy Number forecast do you prefer for the floaters ?

I am hoping that one of you that is on the big e this weekend wouldnt mind giving me a call or quick phone email with a report.

Our scat cat trip has been postponed till sunday morning and we could use the information in making a decision on where to go.

    Thanks.

Kev if that was directed at me, I was looking for a fishing report.
WE have the option of going to BV or beaudreax. We will most likely go down south but wanted to know if BV was a good producer over the weekend.

Not directed any where, only info I use. That others might.

I like the PA boats that can slip dates (DEC) to fit the windows.
