Thank you for this video! I appreciate all that you share here and in other forums.

A question for you or Capt Matt. I learned to do the dropper loops many years ago from my dad surf fishing. I used them offshore too. Once-upon-a-time Capt. Robbie at Capt. Elliotts in Freeport taught me how to do a “twisty snoot” dropper that’s just a modification on the dropper side. Basically everything else is the same except the snoot for the dropper is twisted instead of a loop. Seemed like it kept the bait more perpendicular to the main line. And only a bit more time to tie. And being an anal detail freak to me it keeps things a little cleaner. I’ve used them every since. Any good or bad to that in this situation?

Capt Matt's rig is to put more hooks( 6) on a shorter leader line, easy to handle , and let the pair hooks spread to opposite to avoid tangle. When the bites is hot, we can get more beelines at one time.
Makes perfect sense using the opposite sides with the blood knot and snelling approach. I will have to practice that one! I was wondering more about the 1st part with the more traditional dropper.
