Should I put backing on the bottom of my braid. I'm planning to put new line on my 30sw but I wanted to know if I should put backing. I'm planning to put tuf line xp line 100lb. I read in jerry brown that putting backing is a myth. Maybe there is already another thread of this but I could not find it.

As long as you spool the reel properly, there is no need for backing under braid. But, it is not a bad idea if you want to save a little on the expense of filling a spool with spectra braid.
