Rick,
Manual stated 7.2KG at strike so I don't think this reel will produce more than 30# of drag.

I need to find a bigger parking lot to test this reel Lol.
Or you can take it to Cingco trip and let some one test this reel and OTI jigging rod.

GS,
That's F-A-S. You always have to screw with somebody. You're not exactly known as Mr. Wardrobe. For a guy that wears shorts 12 months a year you won't win the best dressed award. Like my wife said the other night when we were gossiping about you. "I've only seen him wear shorts or a tux."

lol.... that reel is very nice. Hope it holds up, I could sell my Avet for something like that. I like the side knob that you can palm for added drag.... help to keep thier head up if they start to run. It looks like it would be a good casting reel as well with the adjustable cast control. Sweeeeeet!

Gunsmoke,
Do those match the pair you have?

No, I don't have any of those. I was actually searching ebay for some rubber deck boots when I ran across them. Now, in my younger days, I would have picked up a couple of deck bunnies at one those gentleman clubs in Corpus. They would have looked great out there in the blue water wearing just those pink rubber boots. I've seen some crazy things out there in GOM. Especially when it's a slow fishing day. I miss the good old days. Now, its all fishing and not any side action.

Snagged, what's the name of the club off Staples. I went there with a couple of guys in May on the way to Port A. We were in separate cars and one them got a DWI on SPID right after we left the club. It was only 4 in the afternoon when he got nailed. That's what my friends do instead of eating at Floyd's on Sat morning. We don't have a breakfast club, just a nookie club when we can get off early on a Friday. Corpus is a great place to NOT be seen.

lol... sure beats a breakfast club, but costs a lot more....lol.

Rick, I have been working my flipping burger technique like you showed me. I should be pretty good at it now. Are you bringing a kite setup? Got real interested in tryin (or helping while cooking..lol) the kite after reading some about it in the saltwater sportsman. one kite can be set up for 2 baits.... if you dare....lol. Maybe after everyone gets drunk and passes out, I can watch you use the kite... while cooking.....lol. BTW~ Why do I have to cook ALL night long.. who am I supposed to feed at 3 am?? lol. Maybe chunk duty/ cook??? is that what you meant?

My younger days didn't involve blue water to any extent, it did involve a few race tracks on scooters, a few more in and around formula cars, and a few more involving drag racing, so nookie was never a problem.
At my age those clubs hold no intrest, my wife can shoot very well! So we'll stick with breakfast before the idiots hit the roads here.:D

Thank God, my wife can't shoot at all. I'm a gun nut, and I don't think she could ever figure out which shells go with which gun. I'm now a happily married man with a women that puts up with my hobbies. I don't play around because I sewed many oat bags in my day. But, my eyes still work and I like to use them once in a while. I even tell her when I hit one of those Corpus clubs on a boys fishing weekend. She even knows about the trips durning hunting season to boys town. She doesn't care and as long as I use my lower unit at home I'll never get shot.

I also don't drink and drive anymore. I get some other sucker to drive me if I've had one to many. Isn't Floyd's near Flower Bluff. I used to eat there before the new highway blocked it off.
