I don't think I have picked up a gun since I started bow hunting in 2001. I moved to Spain this April... I'll be missing the next 3 hunting seasons. :-(

I've had much more excitement/satisfaction bow hunting than I have ever had hunting with a gun. Great stress relief just practicing.

I'm not sure where Mallorca is. I'm in Rota on the southwest coast of Spain. I haven't been able to fish or hunt here yet. very expensive here. I did go fishing once with a friend I met. He fished a little different than I ever had. They trolled, but when a fish was on they hand lined everything back in. All we caught were 10-12bonito's (I think). This area of spain isn't that great for fishing, water temp is way too low.

Mallorca and menorca (sp) are a pair of islands that are espana's vacation hotspots. I have some friends that used to spend a lot of time there.. Nice place to hang out from what I hear.. I have heard that the med is somewhat fished out... I have always wanted to check out spain.. maybe someday..

Last 6 or 7 years Bow season was for me and rifle season was for my boys.

Rota, I remember the fish markest had the badest looking flounder there.
And a casino in Cadiz, the longest business lunches I've ever had....

Met a Scuba master that was in the spanish navy. Diving the Med seemed bigger than fishing it.
Only 2 trips their about 3 weeks each..

You'll get em.. they only need to be shot at a few times to realize they are not welcome and will become pretty shy to your area.. then maybe the deer will show back up..

I'm a little bit behind this season. Got the feeders going and am ready to plant oats....but just got that done this week. Not sure how the game cam is going to do....looks like the hogs knocked it down and scratched their backs with it.

I did get to go shoot some dove yesterday with Mike. His dog Duke was trying to make my dog, (Carmela), his wife. Good thing that his aim is bad....lol.

    I wouldn't say a lot...but enough to have a pretty good time.

I do not have a tank or pond on the ranch but I do have a big field that they seem to like and it gets pretty active. Come on down.
