A question for the Elec reel users. What ah do you find best for a day of fishing without a charge being needed. I know depth and load play a big part so an overall estimate.
Trying to decide on an ah size. Is 20ah good or is 50ah or higher needed for a day of fishing. Trying to keep the size and weight down but rather have battery life.

Has anyone ever used powertool batteries
I have a pair of tanacom 750s and done a banax 500 for a buddy that run on 12v dewalt batteries. Work great for jigging and bottom fishing 300’ and under. 800’ and few lbs of lead melted some cheap Amazon batteries. Usually use 2 sometimes 3, 3Ah batteries in a day. But quick and easy to swap.

Great idea Bird! I have a bunch of batteries and chargers laying around. I’ll see if I can figure out something.

Shoot me a message if you give it a try. I’ll point you in the direction where I sourced the parts, and some things I changed for cleaner install. I’m on model 4.0 or so now. Started with zip ties and but connectors. Lol
