I would like to see a general cork drag maintenace or replacement thread,
I understand (contact smoothy drags) is the pat answer.
But I would like to learn more. From new post or from post that I missed.

Like why ever put them in a 300$ plus reel?
Why do they skip, lock then slip ect.?
When a little wet what is happening. ?
Why have one large cork drag washer and a small <Dia> stack of fiber washers in the same reel? Refer to ? #1

Is it just $$$$ or something else..

Hint older US made Fin Nor AHAB 20, and Please don't reference current Fin - nor os series.
unless info applies,
But if upgrading all drag washers is best, that is good how to info also.

This post is almost like a skipping drag,,,,,,I hope I make my request clear
Thanks

Kev

Alantani called me yesterday and reviewed his blueprinting of the reel.

He should have it posted soon. It's a very interesting break down.

Ragman, did you send the L120 or L50 to Alan? Interesting that it's got cork drags...

He reworked my L120.

It has carbon fiber, greased drags now.
