Looking for advice/opinions on the Rod Below for tuna popping - Throwing 2-5oz Poppers and Stickbaits to BTF in the Northeast. Targeting Schooling size BFT.

Rod: Shimano Tallus Blue Water 7' 2" X Heavy Fast. Line Rating: 65-200lb
Reel: Stella 10000 65lb braid.

This Rod seems really stiff and I'm worried it might have too much backbone and transfer too much of the fight to the angler? Wonder about casting ability too- (Will test out once I spool the reel). I've only caught Tuna on larger trolling type set ups so not sure what to think about using this rod for this application.

Any advice appreciated.

I also fish for tuna in the NE. Skip the Tallus and go for:
jigging world 7’6 black widow 300.
Shimano Grappler type c 77MH
Shimano grappler type C 82H
Comes down to preference but these are all great rods
