Just order my 300g spinning rod yesterday at tackle direct.

Hope to bring some good fish with it.

Will stick to the 300g spinning with the gosa.

Emmanuel, I am not sure to be honest. When you call tackle direct ask them... they have the reels and rods on hand and can quickly try it before you but. I would think you will have no problem but it is always better to double check before you purchase.

      Hi David,

Thanks a lot for the good advice. I've been surfing on the net and I know there are other rods but at higher price. My impression however is that the stingofish is the rod for me. On the other thread I wanted to know if a Talica II 20 will fit with the 500g conventional jigging rod, if ok I will get it to match the Talica else I will stick the spinning 300G.

Hope to put some great pictures for Stingofish later!

      Cheers,

      Emmanuel

      Thank you for your message.
I think the 300 should be fine for your needs. I have fished heavy jigs with the 300 and fished lighter jigs. In my opinion the 300 is a great all around rod. It will have a soft enough tip to work a jig well from 150g and up. With a heavy jig you will need to slow down your jig stroke a bit letting the rod recoil from the load of the heavier jig. I have taken fish to 150lbs plus on our 200g so you don't have to worry if you connect with a 100lb plus fish. Please let me know if you have any questions.... if you lilke you can call me direct: 201-981-9282 I would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.

      Sting-o Fish G-Rod STG562S-500 or G-Rod STG562S-300 Spinning Jigging Rod.

I intend to use the one of the above with a Saragosa 18000, 20lbs drag maximum, 80 lbs braid and back up reel Spheros 14000, 15lbs drag maximum, 60 lbs braid for jigging GT,YFT, King Fish 25-50 lbs and sometimes up to 100lbs+.

The max weight for the lure is 500g for the STG562S-500 and 350g for the STG562S-300, what about the minimum lure weight for both?

Will the STG562S-300 Spinning Jigging Rod be better or better take the STG562S-500 in case of bigger fish?

Note I can get a Penn Torque Jigging for same price in Mauritius but still I was hooked up with Stingofish at Tackle Direct (despite adding the freight US 126 to get it shipped to Mauritius).

Can you recommend the best of the two in respect of above as I must buy online at Tackle Direct?
