Everyone of us thinks this boat is tops, but only a selected few with deep pockets or plain ignorance are sticking up for your high prices. Some guys are going to go once a year, like this July trip buzzing around. What about after that?
What I stated is it could be better off for them to get more customers than sitting at the dock or go with fewer fishermen. They say they can not make any profit to lower price due to enormous amount of maintaining cost. If they don't run due to lack of customers, they lose more money due ot high fixed cost in my opinion. If I live in Texas, I would go with the price they suggest, but I have to fly and the cost of three day fishing on the Big E is almost same as I fish in Panama for 4 - 5 days.
I really enjoyed fishing on the Big E last year. Fishermen and crew of the Big E were special. I love to fish with them again if the rate becomes more affordable.

Very true Kil.

I sent UE a email asking whether trips have been sailing or not filling but have got no reply.

Don't be so desperated! Forget about the Big E. Find another boat with a reasonable price. I won't be on any of their trip if they don't lower the price.

I talked to them yesterday and they said there's a possibility that the prices will come down within the week.

I agree with Kil and others. Last year's trip was really special. And I have not been able to get offshore since. I was planning to go on this one, but unless there is a substantial reduction in price, I won't be going either. I'm not saying the folks at UE are being unrealistic in their pricing--hell, maybe they have to charge what they are to make it worthwhile as a business venture, but especially in this economy...

Anyway, I'm trying to save as much money as I can for foreign aid to Somalia.

If they don't do something pretty soon, they will 'miss the boat' so to speak. I have already booked all my Fall trips with other boats.

The "accountant" logic they are using for pricing could not have come at a worse time. I booked 7 trips on it last year. This year only one....

Jig is right most of us are booking other boats..!

i am in the process of booking on this boat now. its a great looking and boat. when the owner of the boat will spend his own time on the phone talking to you then that is customer service. i have spoke to the capt and he seems to be as good as they come.
WHEN YOU BOARD THIS BOAT, IT IS YOUR BOAT. THEY DO WHAT YOU WANNA DO.
i kinda like the thought of that
