Rod Recomendation

I'm looking for an all around casting rod to put an Avet LX on. I don't fish for tuna but do like to cast around rigs, shrimp boats, weed lines ect.

Any suggestions?

maybe a 700H calstar
nice blank, good tip and backbone
for longer rod the OTI 50# might work

700H is a good blank but is over kill for the AVET LX

I just got a Rod from Savage Offshore Rods for my "LX".

He said it was very useful from Grouper and Snapps, to big Kings...

Call him and find out what I got, Don will steer you straight.
