OTI rods>>

I met up with Mike and did a warranty swap yesterday...

the only problem is some money floated from my pocket to his and i ended up coming back with 2 more rods... a 300gr jig spinner and a 80# 2pc popping rod... I noticed the 2pc rod had two beveled spots on the handle.. is that for rod rings?

Rod rings goes onto the reel seat, not on the handle. If not pre-installed, you can buy the 2 piece ones that screw together. Much easier to install if the reel seat is installed in a down locking position.

i just looked at all the handles, i cant seem to find what you are talking about

what part is it near?

I asked TJ the same question. It is for design and not for a lug ring.

I believe those are decorative winding checks but I could be wrong

I wouldn't recommend it as that would concentrate all the force and stress into a small section of the blank.
