OTI rod repair question...

I busted the tip on my OTI rod... Totally my fault, wacked it against the ceiling in the kitchen doing something stupid... The blank is fine, but the tip eye is somewhat fubar'ed

How can I get this fixed? Can I just buy an OEM tip and re-glue it myself? Will I need to send the rod back to OTI?

Thanks,
Jerry

Take it to any tackle shop that does repair and have them replace the tip. Not sure but are they using the MNST SIC tips on the rod? If so, the tip is secured with wrapping thread and that would have to be removed and re-wrapped.

rod repair

Thats an easy fix , if you are able to do wrapping you can do it yourself. If not there are many members in here that can fix that tip top , txseadog , buddateam or myself. You would need to ship the rod to any of them.

Thanks guys!

Lite - I bought the rod from Mike, looks like he is going to take care of it...

Mike, don't worry about making a warrentee claim, I doubt damage due to knot failure while dead-lifting weights in the kitching will be covered under the warrentee.... I'll pay for the fix...
