Yea, and after emailing the guy I found out he never even put them in a rod holder. Never caught a fish or cast to a fish. He even has the boxes with warranty cards, extra handles, and new braid on them. That was one of seven great deals I've picked up in the last week. I feel as though I'm taking advantage of people that are strapped for cash. But, I'm not an idiot. In two months, I can make an easy 33% return on my money. ![]() |

Does anyone know who ever came up with the word "Tackle Ho?" I guess a "Ho" is a collector. A real "Ho" only collects money for a service. I know Mrbill, and I won't call him a Tackle Ho. I've never seen him sell, but he will give it away. Normally in exchange for something I've done for him. Fishing and hunting trips come to mind. He's what I call a "Bottom Feeder". He patiently sits and waits for his prey to come out. Ebay is a perfect place for a "Bottom Feeder". He uses a snipping program. He never shows a bid until the automatic snipper software bids in the last few seconds. I used to have him buy guns for me on ebay until guns were banned from the site. If he gets it for his "Bottom Feeding" price, then he's happy. If not, so what. There's always another prey in the works. Most people have overspent on X-Mas and bills are stacked up. Therefore, things go for sale on ebay. This is the perfect time of year for a "Bottom Feeder" to do his thing. I normally don't tell stories on friends but this ebay stuff reminds me of what happened a decade or so ago. A neighbor of mine and his wife were going through a nasty divorce. They had this very nice collection of original signed Audubon bird pencil drawings and prints. The art work was worth a lot of money. They were fighting and wanted to sell it that Sunday. I called up "Bottom Feeder" and told him what was going down next door to me. I really didn't want to get involved. I introduced "Bottom Feeder" to the fighting couple and walked home. I would say an hour passed by when "Bottom Feeder" was at my front door. He had this grin on his face that I'll never forget. It's one of those grins that means he just made the bottom feeding deal of a lifetime. To this day, he still talks about that deal. I never found out the details of the deal, but I'm sure my neighbors got a good screwing. Like he said. "They wanted to sell, I didn't want to buy. Here's my one time offer". He gave me something very nice as a finder fee. Therefore, I don't think he is a "Tackle Ho", just a "Bottom Feeder".
