gman: I too have the Jig Man line, in PE8, PE6, PE5, and PE4. Don't mean this to nitpick, but I think the 86 pounds you mention for PE6 is the maximum, whereas the average is 80. Now having said that, I have no idea what it means--does it mean the maximum breaking strength of all batches or the maximum along any given spool of line? If the latter, I would damned sure want to know the minimum on that spool as well.
I might add that having spent all that money on Accurate tackle and mortgaging my house and hocking my wife's mother's jewelry to buy the line, the only person to catch a damned fish on the spinning rig was Fred (gimmedeal) who then got blood all over it. But he washed off the tackle and cut up my tuna for me and so far I have not gotten sick, so I decided to let him live. One thing I like about the Japanese line is how silky smooth it is. Hopefully the OTI will be just as smooth but with a price point! Russ
