    What jigs to get?

Do you consider all jigs the same? I was thinking either shunning butterfly or the Oti jAgers or the jinksters

most all jigs have different shapes, weights, colors
different shapes fall , and slide thru the water different.

the jager is bottom weighted, falls faster
the jinkster,,almost the same shape thru,I really like that jig, has great flutter, have caught just about everything on it.

Paul, I think it was the jinkster you jigged up that 150-200lb shark on our boat a couple years ago. I could be wrong but I think that was it in green and gold, if my memory isn't too shot.

Jigs are not all created equal. Different jigs for different fish. The hooker, fcl labo sl, and many others are good. Those are a couple you should have when nothing else is working. Eastern tackle has some great original jigs that catch LOTS of fish too...at a great price.

Lol, I don't know what I was thinking grabbing the jig and cutting the assist cord on a shark that big...with a pair of pliers, haha.

The OTI offers a lot of bang for your buck. You get some of the best hardware on the market at the same price as most of the others where you have to replace or buy the right assist hooks and split rings.

I've caught a lot of different species on the two you mentioned, but give a look to the Jackal. It is a very underrated jig
