Though I use treble hooks for tuna jigs a lot, I don't recommend to use them for guys who start tuna jigging as you tend to drop too many tuna with treble hooks while fighting unless you give pressure constantly.
PeterK814, Did you fight with Joe ? I am surprised to hear you might work for the Frances instead of the HH. The 100 Squire area of the Hudson Canyon was hot last couple of days. Capt. Mark of the Canyon Runner has 49 yellowfin (many were released), mostly 60 - 70 lbs range on chunk and jigs the other day. I have a cod jgging trip out of Gloucester, MA on Thus/Fri and plan to drive back directly to the boat in NJ to fish Hudson canyon on Sat/Sun. |

gman- hey whats going on Glen right? Its good to see you on another board as well.
Ksong- hahah no fighting with Joe, my schedule just fits better with a part time weekend position. It might be the FF or the Seven B's or a small private boat, I need to get back to them to see what will happen. Hope we can fish together this fall so I can learn from the master. You should join me and Dave hope ross on some of our Dorismae trips late in the season |

I have been fishing tuna on the Doris Mae for a long time. Definitely the boat is one of the best tuna party boats in NJ. |
