I need a break and I decided to go down to NC on Thursday as I see the first nice weather on Thursday in three weeks.
We are going to try snow grouper in 850 ft first and jig for AJ. Though we have to run 70 miles for the fishing ground, the AJ and the snowy grouper ground is only 6 - 7 miles apart. If we are lucky, we might encounter yellowfin tuna or African Pompano on jigs. We don't fish with Capt. Rick this time as he is booked already. |

Lucky you! I keep counting down the days until May 2nd. I have not fished in way too long. Maybe I'll sneak out for a day trip soon....maybe get a few blackfin.
Are you bringing all the same gear or testing anything new? |

Thats not bad for a weekend trip!! I'm heading to Myrtle Beach in Mid May for work and was trying to figure out how to sneak away to get some fishing in. Anyone have any experience there??
I'd be interested if you guys go to NC again. Thanks, Nick |
