had the same respons when i asked about a certain brand of jigs i had seen on the web . the first thing i want to know from the angler is what type of tackle was used to catch his fish etc .whats the point of posting a pic if you cant tell the rest of the guys what tackle you used who your boat mates were and were you caught it

That site has become very hostile in the last few months. It has become a fan club for a certain guide and certain members and even a few of the "mentors" have made it place that is not very friendly to post and learn.

I like it here better, maybe one day I might even start to call it 'popping'.

Tight lines Gents.

I finally can explain my position because the original thread was locked.
As I explained there, the adminstrator of the site sent me apology letter.
He said he was misinformed that my post was intended to promote my shop and Capt Dom by mentioning of rod and lures used and on which boat the fish landed.

I was told I could continue to post if I don't reveal such info in my future post. But I told him that I have no intention to post there anymore because my report is meaningless without mentioning what tackles they use when reporting.
Ironically it turned out to be my best advertisement there as members there disconvered I have a shop and some sent PMs to get shop's info.

Your welcome Kil,I've been away for 4 days and just got back to see what the response was to my post. when I saw the original post get deleted it bugged me ,but when I came over here and saw this thread I figured it was time to go back and tell them how I felt. I was a bit angry. Anyhow, I think the response over there(this time) was more in line with the site as a whole and more accurately reflects on it's members, than did that other thread. There really are a bunch of good guys there and some very exceptional fishermen also.

On another note:
I had a buddy in that neck of the woods today, and he couldn't stop rubbing in what a superb day they had. He was so excited,That I never did get an exact count.(6-7?) they did keep one over 60" tagged one they both swear was over 73". and drove away from breaking fish because they were both too spent to fight another.Did I mention that I'm Jealous?

The one they kept was caught on a live pogie. He told me they also hooked up on a popper ,on metal (Small).and 1 fish took a sluggo. Did I mention that I'm Jealous?
Good luck If you get out this week. I'm trying.
