Price looks good. Are you trolling or jigging/popping?

Spoke to Jake. Said he has 2 or more 500 gram Conv. rods with 30lb max Avet 2 speeds and 2 or more Saltiga 7'? with Saltiga reels? Don't know what Line is on them. Least he has something to hook up with. Might be you'll have to bring your own leaders. Just spoke with him but it Seems like he catches. HC

I've been out with jake plenty of times in the last few years. On the trips I've been on we have done the troll to locate and jig/pop. But this was mainly due to only a friend and myself having our personal jigging gear since the boat didn't have any at the time. I think he has since picked up a few rigs for the boat. But long story short with a mixed group I'd expect a mix of troll/jig. Where as if everyone wanted to just jig, well that's even better. :-) Heck even when I was the only jigger on board, we made time to jig. Overall you just need to make your preference known. So hint hint since I'm on the match 2nd trip I'll guarantee there will be some jigging.

    Thanks
    Paul

Anybody counting on a charter boat to supply jigging equipment capable of taking large BFT is playing with himself with his off hand! You need total control over the rig for line, knots, drag, i.e. own it!
Expecting to take one with a token outfit is crazy and will leave expectations short.

Proper jigging outfits are too expensive for most any charter to provide and still make a profit. The "whoops" factor where an outfit is lost is unacceptable. Having to explain how a strike drag works, etc. will not work.
Tolerance is the virtue of the man without convictions.
