Diamonds have caught a lot of BF and cudas for me, but never a YF.

I called them up and ordered ten each of 8oz and 10oz. I don't mind swapping out hooks, I am fairly particular about hooks anyway.

I have only seen one YF on a diamond jig. It was a 10 oz silver and green. FTU sells them. I will start with the OTI jigs. Just let them hang out there not moving them or only with a slow sweep. It seems that the smaller jigs with some red and glow work the best at nite on the Big E. Jinkster and Jitterbel. I don't cast jigs like KS does that may work at nite. There was a guy casting surface iron with glow on the May 2 trip. He was connecting with a lot of BF. He had a noodle rod and fight the BF all around the boat. Diamond jigs may work better in the daytime. Kill's pictures seem to be in the daytime.

Kil......would you mind explaining how to work the diamond jigs for grouper? I've been working butterfly type jigs near the bottom for grouper the last few trips, but no luck on grouper yet....just small AJs.

Thanks,
Gary
