GUSA rod

I was given a 8ft GUSA monster mag in spinning config. for Xmas. Has any one used this rod before and how do you think it will hold up casting poppers...

Hey LEXPRO!

I had a couple of popping rods based on the 7' MonMag GUSA and one 7' on the United or Hastings blank.

I loved them! They load well even with a short 2 oz. striper topwater lure I sometimes threw for YFT.
