Fitting Jigging Master Deluxe T Bar to OJ NR1500P

Having issues with this. Ordered the handle and said what reel it was for. Took off the old rubber knob no dramas, removed the two bearings, at the foot of the internal shaft and from the inside of the rubber knob, slid the lower bearing back on the shaft with it's two washers, dropped the JM shaft over the internal shaft, then dropped in the top bearing and finished with the small nut.

It looks like I'm missing a part as the JM shaft is not held firmly on the internal shaft, it can slide up and down. It looks like either I have the wrong shaft, or I'm missing a spacer part, or I'm doing it all wrong.

It was the type D adapter that I was sent if that's any help?

Appreciate any advice or help!

Sharpie its most likely the wrong shaft mate.... I noticed that the sizes of the screw in fitting on the JM handles also differs.... I changed some of my handles for different colour ones, and found that the new ones now don't fit....

Best bet is to mail Pony directly and ask him....

F$%£

That is so annoying especially as I got it Fedexed to be here on time.

The bearings fit the shaft like a glove but unless I'm being really dense it just doesn't fit!

Unbelievable.

Is the length of the shaft the problem? Fairly common problem for you I'm assuming???

SOrry, couldn't resist!!!

The problem on mine is the size of the threaded section to screw the handle onto....

Send me the dimensions mate, I am sending Alex a Shilton SL7 fedex tomorrow, if the shaft on my 2000P NR is the right length for the 1500, I'll send it in the package with Alex for your trip...

hahah yes very good hows the kevlar crochet coming on? Can you make a jersey with a reindeer on it out of assist cord yet? :-D

Nah its not the length its the internal configuration. The end bearing drops too far into the external shaft so that the end nut doesn't hold it tightly. Does that make sense? It means that the external shaft isn't held tightly before you attach the T Bar.

Don't you need the reel for Moz? Cos I'd really appreciate it if that was possible, just hoping the thread on the T fits now!

Let me confirm once the guy emails me back before you do anything though.

If you do send it I'll return it with the Shilton and a shiny gift for you!

Half way through a sleeveless cardigan with a Kudu motif on the back in Kevlar assist actually.... very functional and fetching at the same time!!!

Mate, double check you got all the bearings out of the original handle... I had the same issue and double checked the original handle, and had missed an additonal bearing....

Let me know...

I have a JM T Bar handle that is going on my 20K - fitted the TwinPower OK as far as I recall - so no dramas ... you can come check out the difference in parts if you need to Dave?

I would LOVE a reindeer jumper!!!
