102KG AJ reported off Canary Islands!
On a Jig
102kg Amberjack - Sport Fishing Forum Edit: I've heard that it's really a 76KG fish. But a HUGE fish nonetheless!

There were plenty of those AJ or" Esmedregales" ( that is the name we call them in Canary Island ) back in 1990's all over the Islands , nowadays if you are lucky you get one or 2 smaller size thought.
The Northen Islands are richer in Aj & groupers of very larger size , the souther Island are richer on all kind of spicies , as parrot fish , large Pargos , Aj , Marlin , Tunas etc. I ,ve encounter one Aj of that size a while ago when i was on my 20's thats was 20 years ago. I have posted some pictures of those monsters in here. |
