Kevin... I need a rod built

.... for a TLD20-2speed to fish chunks on 24# of drag....... (TLD has upgraded aluminum frame- no fears in snapping off that graphite junk)

actually won a crowder rod a few minutes ago.... will see how that fares, as you seem to have a few rods for MrBill.. hehe..

Doesnt seem like I am missing much with the lack of mongloid tuna this year....

The tuna are there. You just have to get em. Kinda like you beating the snot out of me with the crappie. Ask me if they are biting and I would have said, "yeah a bit." You smoked em.

Every boat out there the night (week ago) we were there caught a few blackfin. We have 30+ bft and 7 yft. We should have landed more, but we have three guys who had never been to the floaters with us. They lost several more yft. One right at the boat! I didn't even fish much. Just handed off fish.

There are fewer fish I think and the size is down a bit. However, there are more fish than are being caught. IMHO

Are Crowder rods worth a hoot? I found one I may be interested in. i won it for $61.75 on fleabay....

Used Crowder E Series Rod ESU6080 6ft 50-80lb

I lucked out and got Kevin to build me a calstar 6460xxh a month or so ago..
It looks and feels awesome.. just havent hooked anything with it yet......

As far as tuna at Boomvang.. they are there, you just have to bring your A game.. We worked hard for the fish we caught. Live bait , rubber flying fish,swimbaits, poppers, chunking and jigging all acounted for one or two yfts.. We threw everything we had at them.... Like Brandon said, we should have had more in the boat.. there was a boat fishing near us and they only accounted for 7bft all night.. The bft were hard to catch..
