Stella 20000 bail

THE BAIL on my Stellas 20000 DOES NOT SNAP BACK WHEN I BEGIN TO REEL AFTER THROWING LINE OUT, TARD ME I JUST NOTICE RIGHT NOW.
I owne 2 of them and both have the same problem or is that the Stellas 20000 are bailess ?
Advice please ?

they have a manual bail. there's no spring to return the bail, one less thing to break.

they are designed that way so that when you make the cast, you flip the bail back over with your hand rather then turning the handle to close it. the reason for this is that they are a heavy duty reel, and if there was a spring to close the bail, you run the possibility of the bail closing on the cast and breaking off the lure. the manual bail prevents this
