very nice to know! Thanks for the update
![]() If the price difference was marginal between a Stella 16000F and 10000F and Twin Power 8000PG, would the 16000F be the better choice due to line capacity? All have the same 5.0:1 Gear Ratio.... The 10000F is 2 oz lighter than the 16000F...And the 8000PG is 7 oz. lighter than the 10000F. I was thinking of picking up a 5.0:1 Gear Ratio 8000 series spinning reel to pull double duty for light jigging (300g rod) and for casting...but don't know which path to choose. I like the size of the Twin Power for using it all day, but don't know if going with the larger (i.e. heavier) Stella with more line capacity would be the wiser choice... Also, can you change out the handle knobs on the Stella 10000F and 16000F reels?

You need a 8000 size reel. There lighter and easier on the fisherman. Its all about enjoying yourself right? d-a

Hi Doug, Well I have a Twin Power 8000HG reel purely for casting already and a Saragosa 18000F reel purely for jigging. Would you still go with another 8000 reel to "foot the bill" for fulfilling both niches time to time? |

It sounds like you have it covered, but if the cash was there another 8000 would be high on the list. I have a 10000 that I dont care to use because of its weight. My go to reel is the 8000.

Well, I usually go out with 2 jigging rods and using the 5.7:1 TwinPower 8000HG reel gets very tiring compared to using the 4.9:1 Saragosa 18000F reel while jigging and I definitely think it has to do with the gear ratio compared to the difference in weight between the two reels (although lighter is always nicer on the fisherman). |

Brian, The face of the knob I had looked like either but from side view it was solid and had no holes. |
