which super seeker rod for jigging tuna

Thinking about building myself a jigging stick and want to use one of the new super seekers. Probably going to use an avet mxl or jx 2 speed backed with braid. Most of the fish dont get over #90. This setup will be used fishing out of New Jersey on a party boat.

Which blank should i go with?
SS-CJBF70 (30-50#) or SS-CJBF70H (40-60#)

Hey mike!

The 70H is a great 50# blank and the 70 is a great 40# blank.

IMO, if you had to, it would be easier to fish lighter on the 70H rather than try to fish heavier on the 70.

Mike..the H are nice. but they are not a very "light" blank. wish you had more time when you were here you could have compared a few

I have the Super Seeker SSSD8 and it too, is not light. There is no graphite in some of the Super Seekers. The graphite models are light and thin walled. Not sure about the 70H.

I am looking for a blank that is light in weight. Are these 2 models composite or s-glass?

mike i dont think the superseekers will make a "light" jigging rod for what you want. they are a great blank..they are just not "light"
