Super Seeker CTSF55XXXH

Submited By MrBill MrBill is offline

Brand: SEADOG RODS
I just received my new Super Seeker CTSF55XXXH rated 80 (100) 130 made by Seadog Rods. I'm home alone or I would have taken some lift test pictures. Let me just say that I need to bring home some more weights. I will follow up lift pictures in a few days. I'll probably have "Rodbuster" help me with the test. I will stop him before rod failure occurs.

I fished with some custom rods using the Winthrop guides last summer. After using them on a few marlin, I don't think there is any comparison to the proven Aftco big foots. They are expensive, but worth the extra money for the long haul. You can place a pencil through every guide including the tip. The pencil will even fit between the rod blank under the guide. You would have to be the world's worst knot maker to make a knot that wouldn't pass through these guides.

The Winthrop's are machined out of a solid block of aluminum. The ball bearing rollers are machined to fit perfect inside the machined guide. There is absolutely zero play. No wobble what so ever. I don't see any way you could fray the line. Then, you have the hottest blank on the market. The Super Seeker line of rods is raising eyebrows throughout the fishing industry.

The rod is topped off with a black/gold Aftco unibutt. A shrink wrap was used over the hypalon grip. Very nice.

Thanks, Kevin. Once again you've outdone yourself. Excellent job. We'll be doing more rods very soon. Here's some pictures of the rod. Some will have a pencil placed into the guides to give you an idea of the guide size.

Oso,
Your family probably spends more a month on you than the cost of this rod. Food, clothes, school, insurance, gas, water, electricity, etc. Just wait till real life begins and you have to pay all of the above along with 1000 different types of taxes.

Bret,
I'm thinking I will put one of the new Accurate Platinum 50 topless reels on it when they come on the market shortly. Meanwhile, I have some new Tiagra's that need a home.

Skeeter,
Those pink flowers in the background were grown to match your Cinco Cook Uniform. I purposely took the pictures with the pink flowers in the background for you. Glad to see you noticed. Maybe you're not as straight as you think. It's also possible that this rod was built to settle a bet.

Feeder,
Txseadog provided them. I just told him what I wanted. I'm not sure where he bought them. Probably Mudhole.
