daiwa saltiga
There is thread at deepjigging about this same rod, and the comments I had were pretty positive about it.
I was also about to purchase it but I changed my mind , however I heard that this rods are not very much different than the Japanesse version of Saltiga Here is the post Jigging and Popping Forum Last edited by mad marlin : 01-25-2008 at 09:40 PM. |

i put purchased the Saltiga SA-JG510MFB for a jigging rod for my Avet SX and i really like it. Since then i have handled a few of the similarly (line) rated trevalas and i like the saltiga MUCH better. a bit more rigid, 5'10" rated at 15-40lb line and 150-210g jigs. i had the longer version of the same rod but i returned it after doing lifts with it in my apt due to soft of a tip. To each his own, but i'm happy with my saltiga rod (so far).
-chase also i would say they are generally not the same as the trevala, go to a tackle shop that has both and put some bend in them, hang off 6-8 oz and see what they look/feel like |
