Popping Rod

Brand: Batson RCJB84XH   
New popping rod Alps Guides, Fuji Reel Seat, extened the butt 8"..... not to bad for 100 bucks..Drag was set at 18lbs pulled untill spool was pulling drag slow.... sorry for the fuzzy pics where takin on me phone..

Nice looking stick.. Good job on the grip transitions; looks real tight. Blank looks like it shuts down pretty quick too.

What guides?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who tries to catch a truck!!

Looks very nice! How did the rod feel when you were pulling on it?? I found that the faster actions tend to transmit more vibrations to the angler, but some like the Seekers, don't do that as much.

The rod felt strong the first 1/3 of the rod is soft but fast action if that makes sense. I think the light/fast tip will allow me to throw baits easier but still have enough back bone to handle bigger fish. I didnt feel any vibration through the blank but the drag was just barely moving...... hopefully ill see what it feels like on a big BFT.

Nice! The fast action will let you cast lighter stuff easier and it looks like it has plenty of backbone, but a little flex to absorb some of the tremors. Looks nice to me!
