My new 6' GUSA Jigging Rod

Submited By ksong ksong is offline

I just got a 6' jigging rod from rodwinder. Whenever I got a rod from rodwinder, the problem is I am afraid to use the rod as it is so beautiful. The Blank is GUSA Challenger which Ralph got from Billy40. It seems the rod rating is inbetween 60 - 80 lbs. This rod is very similar to 400g Jigging Master. The weight of both rods are same(13 oz) though Jigging Master rod is 2" shorter. The action of both rods are similar though Jigging Master is parabolic and the GUSA rod is fast action. This rod is going to be used inbetween Japanese style jigging and Conventional style jigging.
As Airline regulations get tougher, I got to shorten my jigging rods or use two-piece rods for traveling by airplane.

comparision with 400g Jigging Master (GUSA on the right)

Kil, it was a pleasure hanging with you today. YOu're a lucky SOB to have such a gorgeous assortment of rods, built on super high end blanks from all around the globe. You really have your finger on the pulse of jigging, I appreciate the info you provided me with.
