BarBar Tackle 5'6" XXh

Submited By SkeeterRonnie SkeeterRonnie is online now

Brand: forecast Blank
Just received my rod in.... true 80-100 # blank!! excellent craftsmanhip on the guide placement/wrps. I am VERY impressed with the quality vs. price !!!!

Tld20 looks like a madman on this rod!!! Not too heavy either, actually pretty lightweight!! Excellent versatility as a chunking rig, or bottom fishing rig!!! 20-30# seems to be ideal drag on this rod!!

~$120 off ebay for this brand new rod!!!

Glad you like his work. I ordered one of the Super Seeker 60-100 roller rods that he has listed.

LOL!! Before he made this rod for me, he sent me an email and said if I hang more than 25% off the tip he is turning me in to the "Rod Cruelty Police"... or something close to that... LOL!!! I told him I would be nice and just hang the 20# weight off it...

Poor Ol'e Ronnie.. Power Pro done him wrong... LoL

I have caught well over 3 tons of fish (including YFT over 100#) with 65# to150 # power pro and the only thing I ever broke was the Mono or the Hooks!

You either got some bad guides or your drag scale is seriously wrong.

However since I own several I will agree.... Bar Bar Rods Rock!

We will have some Bar Bar Custom "St Croix" Jig rods to test on the TFF Tuna 6 Port "A" Jan 18-20 for those 360 Tuna members joining the crew!

Sk,

Have you contacted Power Pro?
Their customer service is good, you should give it a try.
They replaced my defective 65lb PP.

I second that. I had a day where every other cast my line broke. They told me I got a bad batch and sent me a new spool. Its still sitting on my shelf. I can't use it agian after the fish lost that day. I loved my mono the rest of the day!

I think we're fishing different line. I've fished it a lot from 50 to 100 lb and still haven't had the problems others have had. The one time I broke the line, I had a defective tip.
I hope BarBar's rods are as nice as everyone says. The pricing on the Super Seeker won't cover much more than the components. Aluminum butt, Aftco WO rollers and Super Seeker blank. I'll let you know when it gets here. It'll be on the boat in January if it survives Venice a couple of weeks before.
