BarBar 30-50# Hybrid Standup w/ Power Plus

Submited By SkeeterRonnie SkeeterRonnie is online now
Here is the BarBar rod with a 20# scale weight. The line touches at nearly every point between the guides. It still has a little left with the load, but the line touching the blank worries me. I wouldnt put more than 20# on this one. The quality is remarkable and the rod is very nice for the price ($149) if I wasnt such a rookie- i would have never put 20# on this rod.. that is WAYYY overstressing the amount of load the rod was designed for. this was my fault! I wouldnt hesitate fishing 14# of drag with a max 20# on this rod...

Here the link for the specs... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6632&rd=1&rd=1

Wow ... i guess that is what is great about living in the USA .. you can say anything about anything .. no need to have a reason or information ... I don't know why any rod builder would call another builders rods garbage .. And I doubt if he has seen or knows anything about my rods ..
but if he wants to spend a little time here is a link to some feed back i have gotten on eBay for the past 7 years or so .. I started selling rods there before i started setting up dealers .. Soooooooooo ... from where i am setting ... the Reel truth is .. that was a stupid thing to say .. eBay Feedback Profile for reelwinder13auv

true. I probably wont buy another rod from the Armbreaker guy... i didnt like that response either. Ihave bought one from him in the past, the first time he shipped it - it was broken at the tip from poor packaging. I sent it back and he sent another one a few weeks later. it was the green super seeker, if you are reading this. sent to dallas,tx.

All of my Bar Bar rods have been delivered in pvc tubes with heavy orange end caps full of stuffing.

I am sorry Ron for overstressing that rod - never meant for it to be a selling point for another company. I have seen a lot of rods that wouldnt take that type of punishment with what I did on the wieght end of things. Your products are 110% topnotch, and I wouldnt EVER hesitate to go to war (serious fishing) with your products!

Hey Ronnie .. i hope you know that post was never a issue with me .. we had some laughs about it .. so please don't worry about that .. i think Mr Bill did a great job of explaining dead lifts ... I was just a little upset when i saw that post .... I think for most of us, we get up in the morning and go out and try to get it right ... I know over the years i've made my fair amount of mistakes .. but .. if i knew about it .. i always fixed it ... no matter what it took .. so thanks for the concern .. but not to worry .. i will always keep you in mind when i want to see what kind of abuse a rod will really take ... LOL Ron
