Alps Trilex Reel Seat

Submited By mickm56 mickm56 is offline

Hi guys
I am looking to get a new jig rod built based on a Synit Venom 450FT blank using the Alps Trilex Reel Seat and gimbal
The butt diameter is approx 16mm
I will be using a Daiwa Saltiga 6500 Expedition reel on it
I have fitted this reel on a mates rod fitted with an Alps triangular seat and the reel foot barely made it into the hood - by about 5mm
What size seat and gimbal will I need
Thanks

Something that nice deserves a quality Japanese seat I reckon but I am a snob

nothing wrong with the alps reel seats thought . There are some great colors and new Alps models that would dress up that sick venom blank but you might compromise the weight a bit , not much but fuji is a much lighter real seat IMHO

You could use an Aftco ars 1m, or Amtak AH20m.
