I have been reading this form and have got a lot of info from it. well I just registered and have my first question. I was just at the A/C boat show and felt a rod from Lamiglas...the tri-flex. It felt like it was sensitive enough to feel bottom bait fishing...clammin for bass/wreck fishing and strong enough for larger fish. Has anyone any info on this rod? Thanks

Paul,
What does "acid wrapped" mean. A local guy is wrappin them for me. I talked to tec support from Lamiglass who talked me out of the lighter blank for what I wanted to do with it I told them I'd be using up to 16oz with it. I felt the L, ML, and M. The M had a soft enough tip for me for an 8oz sinker. Thank you for your help. |

Hey Phat! Welcome to the board!
Do a search on "Spiral Wrapped" fishing rods. They're conventional guides that are wrapped on top and bottom of a blank to eliminate rod twist under pressure. How'd I do Paul? LOL |

Thanks for the input everyone. I have seen this on a few fishin videos. Tom...very nice work! When a blank is rolled on the tip their is a flat spot that it settles in. I hope I am describing this well. On conventional reels you set it up on one side and for spinning reels it is set op on the other side. What side do you chose to put the reel seat?
Paul what site are the videos? |
