200lb lemon shark on Barefoot Jigging rod |
Today in Islamorada, Florida, I caught a 200lb Lemon Shark on a Calcutta 400TE Barefoot 250-325g Jigging Rod. The shark was released, and was caught on a Yellowtail snapper rack. It was 65lb Power Pro to 100lb mono, with a 8/0 circle hook.
pictures will be posted later tonight |

The Barefoot Jig Rod is definately not a noodle. I dead lift 15 - 20lb with mine. Still, I'd like to really test it on a large AJ. I like it though, it's a very thin strong rod. You should've got a spinner hehehe.

that shark looks smaller than 200lbs, but I sho hope my Barefoot can handle a 200lb fish, after all, I did pay big bucks of $49 for it hehehe.
