Scott (BellyUp) lives in that area now.

Wonder if he chases sand bass since he's moved away from Corpus?

I live close to Grescobia, and I have heard no reports yet. We
did get 7-8 inches of rain, so there should be lots of sandies moving
up both the Sabine and the Neches. I bet they would make
great tuna bait.

Fished the Sabine river on sunday near Carthage tx. Boat ahead of us caught 120 sandies (3 fisherman).Ifished with a fellow and his daughter and did not do as well ,but the fish we caught were the biggest sandies Ive caught in a long time. The answer to your Question is YES

Huh? We you guys fishing shallow or creeks flowing into the river? How far above the lake were you? Sounds like the boat ahead of you had the magic touch. Good luck next time.
