What is your 2 speed Gear Ratio on your 665 2spd

Submited By JerseyBrian JerseyBrian is online now

Brand: Accurate Fishing   Model: 665H 2 psd   Types: Conventional
Just wondering if everyone has 5:1 and 2:1 as their Gear Ratios on their Accurate 665H 2spds. I've heard that others might have a 6:1 high gear.... if so... maybe Accurate has been trying to make some improvements by using a lower ratio high gear to achieve more cranking power?? I just bought my 665H 2spd from Charkbait 2 weeks ago.

mine is 5:1, bought early this year. I don't think I would want the 6:1.

Just want to see WHY Accurate decided to change the Gear Ratio more than anything... did they do it for improved performance? Did they change/improve anything else with this year's batch of 665 2spds?

I got mine 3 weeks ago and it is 5.1 I might actually have liked the 6.1 more but I havent used one. Only comparison I have is a torium 20 that is 6/1.

Who knows why? 6:1 for the 60# class is too high. It's hard enough for me to crank with any fish at all hooked up with the 5:1 gear. But that low gear is sweet.

Am I the only person not having problems with my 665? Or maybe I just have not used it enough yet.

I'd say give them a quick call. It's almost impossible to crank in the 6:1 gear anyway.

I would like to see 5:1 and 3:1 with those smaller reels. 2:1 seems awefully low for such a small spool.
