Nice report. I particularly like the one piece bail arm/roller bearing frame.

I have asked Plat how much is the Saltiga Z drive gear (C6191 if I don't recall badly) to tune up other Daiwa reels, waiting for the reply.

Who make the Aluma? Is that reel any good?

Daiwa itself does the customization for JDM reels.
It costs 16.000 yen.

There is one Certate that comes already with the Saliga Z gears: Certate Hyper Custom.

For the 16,000 Yen (~$140 US), what comes with the customization?

And, the Certate Hyper Custom- Do you have any specs on that reel (in the Stella 8000 to 20000 size?)

It should be pinion + drive gear of the Saltiga Z.
