Just got back from Baja's East Cape region, and got a 100-pound striped marlin on my Torque TRQ100.
Reel had plenty of drag power and cranking power, but obviously line capacity can be critical on such a small reel even with spectra.
Setup was 200 yards of Stren superbraid plus 125 yards of 20-pound Big Game Hi-Test mono and a 10-foot 100-pound Big Game Fluorocarbon leader, 8/0 Owner Gorilla hook, dead ballyhoo as bait.
Fight time under 40 minutes, fish successfully relreased.
