I Need Help

Brand: Penn   Model: jigmaster 500   Types: Conventional   
i found this reel at a tackle shop and the guy said take it because i spent a considerable amount i found a site that step by step tells u how to ovehaul these reels and i cant get the reel apart any suggestions on how to persuade this reel o and if i clean it and sell it how much is it worth

Ask alantani and he can probably help guide you through any reel that needs to be broken down. He's posted a lot of tutorials with pics which are always helpful.

If you need an idea on what you could get for it hit eBay and check around. You'll see what people are willing to pay.

Snagged is on a distinguished road
Unscrew the knurled knob (either left or right side) and twist the sideplate. Most have the knob on the bridge side, but not all.
Be careful of the inner rings, if they are damaged the reel won't align properly.
The jigmaster is a good surf and snapper reel.
